- if faster - outrun them
- if slower - outsmart and outposition
- if stupid - do crazy things
- Know = success
- Knowing what your teammates will do is essential to ANY D.
- watch, talk, learn from each other
- not "don't do that", but honestly
- "why did you do that?"
- Adjusting the D
- Know the problem before changing it
- Fix it before you change it (if approp)
- execution, choice, the O, etc.
- The team needs to adjust as one
- there are many solutions - pick ONE
- Building a repertoire of D
- build logically
- man to poach
- poach to clam
- clam to zone
- build by team strengths
- poor cup - go to clam
- strong hammers - 4 in cup
